Searching for Psychiatrists in Western Cape?

WARNING! Are you looking for psychiatrists in Western Cape or a psychiatrist that provides psychiatric services in Western Cape Province? If you are searching for a psychiatrist to treat a psychiatric disorder like depression, anxiety, ADHD Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, bipolar disorder, ADD Attention Deficit Disorder, or other mental health disorder, you should first find out what treatments are used by Western Cape psychiatrists, and what the effects of those psychiatric treatments are.

Since 1969, the Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR) has been deeply involved within the field of mental health reform, ensuring psychiatrists, psychologists and mental health practitioners are held fully responsible for any harm done to mental health patients, not only locally in Western Cape but in South Africa and internationally.

Looking for an Adult or Child Psychiatrist in Western Cape?

Psychiatrists in Western Cape, South AfricaIf you want to know the whereabouts of psychiatric services or a psychiatrist in Western Cape you may want to think again; here's why. In South Africa today our society has progressed well in many fields. But at the same time there are many fields where South Africa and more locally in Western Cape, has not progressed well at all. Education is declining fast. Crime is ever increasing. The treatment of drug addiction has completely failed, causing further addiction to even more dangerous drugs. The headline news in local towns and cities across the Western Cape Province and around the world continue to report massive numbers of irrational and psychotic acts of violence and of which no reason is understood. Yet in our educated and progressive times, the treatment of the problems of the mind remains an area of ignorance and no real understanding. WHY?

Psychiatry worldwide, throughout South Africa, and local psychiatrists in Western Cape, have never come forth with a science of the mind that actually cures mental illness. Instead, the mental health practices and treatments of psychiatry involve brutal and invasive procedures like electroconvulsive therapy (passing burning volts of electricity through the brain) and the mind damaging prescriptions of psychiatric drugs. Medical evidence has shown that psychiatric medications can, and actually do, create killers. Sexual abuse is well known to be very destructive; however, psychologists and psychiatric doctors sexually abuse the mental patients under their care at an astounding rate. Besides most psychiatrists coming from the lower grades of medical school classes, the psychiatric profession is known for committing the highest number of cases of health insurance fraud than any other profession. It's an unfortunate fact, but whatever town or city in Western Cape you live; mental health problems in the province are actually made worse by nearby psychiatrists in the Western Cape.

Need a Psychiatric Evaluation by a Western Cape Psychiatrist?

Western Cape Psychiatrist for Evaluation, Test, Assessment, or DiagnosisIt is important for you to fully appreciate that the psychiatric field and psychiatry as a whole consists of, no methods for mentally healing people, but only that of harmful treatments that no morally decent medical professional would ever call a treatment. As author Edward Shorter stated in A History of Psychiatry, psychiatrists have had "a rather poor reputation among their medical colleagues as the dull and the second rate." Despite massive increases in funding, Western Cape psychiatric doctors have failed to define, let alone cure, the causes of mental illness.

While there is an outward appearance that modern psychiatry is scientific, it continues to practice deadly psychiatric procedures and treatments and has a complete absence of any scientific approach to mental health. The absence of any actual science for assessing and diagnosing mental illness by psychiatrists adds to the ever increasing poor reputation psychiatry already has. A psychiatric evaluation in Western Cape by a psychiatric physician is nothing but harmful guesswork that endangers the mental health of Western Cape psychiatric patients.

How Does a Western Cape Psychiatrist Diagnose Mental Disorders?

Throughout South Africa and Western Cape, psychiatrists use a list of invented mental illnesses to compare a patient against. The most commonly used list of illnesses used for assessing a psychiatric disorder is in a book called the DSM Diagnostic Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. In 1952 this book contained only 112 mental disorders but has dramatically increased to 374 in 1994, and is still increasing today. WHY?

A study by university public health researchers that was published in April 2006, revealed all of the psychiatric experts involved in the development of the mood disorders listed in the DSM-IV - before or after the book was published - had financial connections to pharmaceutical drug companies. This health report was the first to officially document the sweeping extent of financial conflict of interest between pharmaceutical companies, psychiatrists, and other mental health personnel responsible for the development of the DSM manual. In other words, the Diagnostic Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders is just a bunch of listed items the mental health industry can charge you or your insurance company, or the government (taxpayer) for.

What You Need to Know About Psychiatric Assessments in Western Cape

Represented as diagnostic tools, the Diagnostic Statistical Manual and other similar lists of "mental disorders" are not only used to evaluate mental illness and prescribe psychiatric treatments in Western Cape, but are also used to modify education in schools and make court decisions, such as with child custody cases and more. Yet this system of mental health testing contains no science whatsoever, despite large sums of Western Cape taxpayer's money being poured into psychiatry in South Africa. If you receive a psychiatric evaluation, test, or assessment by a Western Cape psychiatrist and visit another psychiatrist in the Province, the high probability is that both Western Cape psychiatric doctors will give different results and prescribe different mental therapies or treatments. Psychiatrists and psychologists base their assessments on what they think or believe are wrong with their patients and NOT on any scientific cause. They treat a list of symptoms and NOT real causes of mental illness.

Need a Western Cape Psychiatrist for Psychiatric Treatment?

Psychiatrist in Western Cape for Psychiatric Treatments and ServicesThrough the use of unscientific tests and labelling, easy commitment and seizure laws and brutal, dehumanizing treatments and practices, millions of people around the world and in Western Cape fall into the coercive system of psychiatry every year. And too many governments and individuals make the assumption that psychiatrists know what they are talking about and provide mental healing, when in fact they do not.

The questions used by Western Cape psychiatric physicians, for the evaluations of mental health patients, are not reliable to diagnose any psychiatric condition. If you visit your local psychiatrist in the Western Cape area you will probably receive a quick psychiatric consultation without making any physical examination whatsoever, resulting in the psychiatrist telling you what is wrong with you. A mental health report by a psychologist or psychiatrist advising a course of psychiatric therapy or treatment is not based on any valid scientific diagnosis. So, before taking any prescribed drugs or psychiatric medication or agreeing to any mental health therapy by a psychiatrist in Western Cape, ask them what physical tests they are going to perform to diagnose you, such as blood test. The actuality is that the doctor won't perform any physical check or testing, simply because they don't know what causes mental illness.
